Genuine Suppliers NZ (GSNZ) began in Auckland with a simple idea: that the things we bring into our homes should have more than just a purpose — they should have character, creativity and a story.

We wanted to create and share products that make people feel the same little spark of joy that we feel when we discover something beautifully handcrafted.

GSNZ in New Zealand

 

GSNZ is our New Zealand-facing brand, based in Auckland and created to bring distinctive handcrafted products to homes across New Zealand and beyond.

From mango wood and resin furniture to handcrafted copper bottles, book stands, coasters and other home décor, our collection is built around a love of natural materials, thoughtful design and handmade craftsmanship.

Our products are intentionally different from mass-produced furniture and décor.

Natural wood has its own grain, colour and character. Resin flows differently. Handmade artwork carries subtle variations.

That means no two pieces are ever quite the same.

And we think that is something worth celebrating.

GSNZ currently serves customers in New Zealand and internationally, with products also reaching homes across markets including Australia, North America, the UK and Europe. We also work with retailers and businesses interested in wholesale and larger orders.

 

The Work Behind GSNZ

 

While GSNZ has its roots in New Zealand, much of the making happens in India.

Our products are created through skilled craftsmanship and traditional techniques, using materials such as mango wood, resin and copper. The production process involves careful preparation, making, finishing and quality checking before each piece begins its journey to its new home.

This connection between New Zealand and India is an important part of who we are.

Behind GSNZ's products is our close connection with MetaWorld Me Pvt Ltd in India.

MetaWorld supports the design and manufacturing process, including precision engraving and branding, helping turn ideas into finished products while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship we expect from GSNZ.

India has an incredible tradition of craftsmanship.

There is a depth of skill, patience and creativity in working with natural materials — skills that have been passed from one generation to another.

We want to build on that tradition while bringing contemporary ideas, designs and inspiration into the products we create.

 

Shrishty & Bharat

 

At the heart of GSNZ are Shrishty and Bharat .

For us, GSNZ is not simply about selling furniture or home décor.

It is about having the freedom to look at an ordinary piece of wood and imagine what it could become.

It is about seeing a beautiful design and wanting to turn it into something real.

And it is about believing that good design should not be reserved for a select few.

Shrishty's role in GSNZ reflects that creative spirit. She brings design into the heart of the products and is also closely involved in connecting with customers and making sure their experience is as special as the products themselves.

Bharat is also part of the creative and storytelling side of GSNZ, sharing the ideas, products and inspiration behind the collection.

Together, the aim is simple:

We have a bit of a weakness for beautiful things.

A striking colour combination.

An unusual piece of timber.

A pattern that catches your eye.
